Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. gives leadership, service, and resources toward removing barriers and inequalities so that all people of America may develop their potential and exercise full citizenship.

Through the support of human rights legislation, service to and support of grassroots individual and community development activity, and through active participation in the programs of affiliates and other organizations, we are committed to working to improve the quality of our lives and the society we serve.

Sigma Gamma Rho, in its quest to expand its area of service, actively participates in the sponsoring of national and international programs designed for the improved welfare of all people.

Our focus on community service led us to partner with The USA Swim Team to combat drowning accidents amongst minority children. Our projects seek to provide resources and education to those who need it most. Learn more about our work and how you can get involved.

Women's Wellness

Our Women's Wellness Initiative is dedicated to promoting the health and well-being of women through education and awareness. We recognize that Breast Cancer and Heart Health are two major concerns for women, particularly women of color, and we strive to provide the necessary resources and support to help individuals take control of their health.

Our members collect and donate a wide range of educational materials, equipment, and school supplies to benefit children. We take great pride in being able to provide these children and young people with the resources they need to improve their educational opportunities and enhance their chances of success in life.

Annual Youth Symposium

Held annually on the second Saturday of March by Alumnae Chapters across the nation, our Youth Symposium (supported by undergraduate chapters and affiliates) is designed to highlight some of the prevalent concerns that negatively impact our youth (drugs, teen violence, abuse, low self-esteem, suicide, teen pregnancy, human trafficking, etc.).
