“This is the second year Shults Ford has been fortunate enough to work with the Pittsburgh chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho. Like the people of Shults Ford, these members are dedicated to their families, dedicated to their communities and dedicated to making a positive difference in the lives of many. The Sisters of Sigma Gamma Rho truly deserve our gratitude,” Shults Ford owner Richard Bazzy said. Mr. Bazzy also serves on Neighborhood Ford Store’s Board of Directors.
The Neighborhood Ford Store, representing 76 Ford dealers in the region, has established a tradition of recognizing positive community impact through the presentation of Ford Warrior Quilts. Made with the help of dedicated volunteer quilters, these quilts are presented to organizations demonstrating a commitment to the battle against breast cancer.
This year’s Hattie McDaniel Breast Cancer Awareness Tea is scheduled for October 26, 2024. This annual event raises awareness for breast cancer in honor of Hattie McDaniel, the late actress, history-making Oscar recipient, and member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc.— along with people all over the world affected by this condition. The event provides an opportunity to foster community and support this compelling cause.
